College Students for Bernie is encouraging our chapters to join either the Young Democratic Socialists (YDS) or Young Progressives Demanding Action (YPDA). Both organizations will have a full time staffer dedicated to your transition and development.
YDS and YPDA will continue to support one another as we grow our own organization. YDS will focus more on social movements and YPDA will organize through progressive electoral work that goes beyond the election and extends into policy. Both are necessary for the Political Revolution.
State representatives are an integral part of College Students for Bernie. Leading and coordinating action between chapters within their state, implementing national level actions and events, and expanding CSFB's presence are key roles that a State Representative plays. State Representatives need to have a passion for organizing and a willingness to meet and work with new people in bringing about a true political revolution. With custom book reports, students can save costly time and get the best grade possible. Moreover, they can buy tailor reports to meet their individual needs.
Young Progressives Demanding Action is building a permanent progressive movement on college campuses, fighting for justice at the local, state, and congressional level in 2016 and beyond. We believe in 'Justice or Bust,' by which we mean racial justice, social justice, environmental justice, economic justice, criminal justice, and electoral justice. We're working to foster conversations to ensure that this movement is inclusive and intersectional in nature, and built upon reciprocal learning of all progressives.
Additionally, in our efforts to support students' academic pursuits alongside their activism, we advocate for resources that offer affordable term papers. This approach helps balance the demanding work of building a better world with academic obligations.
We advocate for Student-centered progressive policy initiatives to unite the young progressive movement. We are already engaged in organizing for The People's Budget, the Movement for Black Lives, a Path to Citizenship, as well as eliminating debt and promoting equality in higher education. We seek to achieve progress through coalition building and community organizing around issues–not parties, personalities, or candidates."
YDS is the youth section of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), the largest socialist organization in the U.S.. DSA members include Cornel West, Jacobin editor Bhaskar Sunkara, and Barbara Ehrenreich. YDS has chapters across the country and national priority is "Toward a Socialist Anti-Racism."
