The goal behind the proposed research is to find out the levels of job satisfaction among police officers. This is a result of the recent complains among some officers about the working conditions and remuneration. The proposed research aims at determining the extent to which the police officers are satisfied while maintaining law and order. The research aims at gathering adequate information that would help in the formulation of effective recommendations that will help to improve job satisfaction among police officers. Moreover, the research will assist in motivation of the officers and improvement of the levels of security because of the recommendations drawn. Relevant authorities such as the government will get information about the research in order to improve job conditions. Therefore, the main objective of the proposed research is to find out the levels of job satisfaction among police officers in relation to the working environment and remuneration.
The research will go with the help of structured interview method. This structure involves face-to-face interaction with the interviewee. Rogers (2001) intimates that the interviewer meets the individuals and asks them standard questions about the issue under research. These questions are similar for everyone participating to maintain the focus on the purpose of the interview. The structured interview is convenient as all the participants are to answer similar questions. This means that there will be no room for distortion because this will maintain the main agenda. Nothing will divert the focus hence making it easier to gather the required information. In addition, it will be easy to compare responses because the answers to the questions always fix in advance.
