Macaroni Grill is a casually elegant Italian chain of dining restaurants situated in different parts of the world in countries such as Canada, United States, United Kingdom, Japan and Mexico among others. Its initial restaurant was established in 1988, in San Antonio, Texas by Philip J. Romano (Legal Information: Romano's Macaroni Grill, 2010). It‘s headquarters is in Texas. The menu of Macaroni Grill features a variety of traditional foods from Italy and the Mediterranean regions such as fresh pastas, Italian tapas (e.g. spicy ricotta meatballs), antipasti (e.g. stuffed mushrooms), pizzas, flatbread, and a variety of wines among others. It is important to note that Macaroni Grill serves all their foods with complimentary bread along with olive oil (Legal Information: Romano's Macaroni Grill, 2010). Since Macaroni Grill has several restaurants throughout the world, this review will focus on Princeton Macaroni Grill since I have eaten there. The interior of the restaurant is very classy, and the atmosphere is very relaxing and nice. However, like any other restaurants, this restaurant has its advantages and disadvantages as discussed below.

Princeton Macaroni Grill is open all days of the week, and this offers convenience for people to eat at whatever day they want. They also have low-fat alternative foods on their menu; an implication that they care about the health of their customers (Legal Information: Romano's Macaroni Grill, 2010). Their staff is very hospitable and friendly to customers, making you want to come back to the place again. The food portions they serve are large enough to be shared with a friend, yet their prices are very reasonable. Also included in their menu are good selections for children and it makes the restaurant good for the whole family. In addition, the quality of the food they serve is good and consistent.

However, Princeton Macaroni Grill is not without flaws. The place can at times be very noisy, hence making it uncomfortable to eat quietly for customers, who want to relax. Another thing to note is the high cost of their lunches for those, who want to eat there everyday it is very costly. One also waits too long (close to 1 hour) for their order, and also it takes the waiters a long time to refill a customer’s drink. Besides, they do not have many food options for vegetarians in their menu apart from mushroom ravioli, and their pastas are most of the times overcooked. In conclusion, I would give Princeton Macaroni Grill a rating of 2 out of 5, meaning they need to improve on the above areas. The management of Macaroni Grill should ensure that the various customers’ complaints are addressed if they want to maintain their customers, otherwise, they will prefer other restaurants with better services.
